Why make a contract modification?
It is an often situation that there is a need to make some modification in the existing berth contract.
Mostly, they are based on the customers’ requests or on the mistake by entering the data into application.To make modification/changes of the existing contract, we create a modified contract document, which is based on the already signed contract, but only with including modifications.
Not all parameters of the contract can be modified. Only following criteria are able to be modified: Berth number, End date, Billed until date, Loyalty date, Proactive care report sending.
A special case is the planned arrival date of a contract boat. This can be edited directly in the Boat section of the dashboard of an individual contract and does not require generating a new contract PDF since this information is not contained within the contract PDF. Note, however, that you cannot change the start date of a contract at all as it is used for invoice calculation.
If you need to change contract data that is not listed in menu - terminate the existing contract and create a new one
How to do contract modifications?
You can modified a contract by following the procedure:
- Choose the Contract module from the main menu and enter into specific contract that you want to modify
- In the lower part of the contract window, find the button Contract modifications and click on it.
- Choose from the menu the modification you want to make and enter new data
- Fill out all obligated fields (*): date signed and description (enter a reason why the modification was made)
- After the all fields were filled, click on Ok
- Choose generate new PDF document to print out the modified contract

After you make the modifications, the customer should sign the modified contract.
