How to create a quotation for contract extension?
Before the Billed date come to zero, marina should create a quotation document for the following time period and send it to the customer. A customer will, based on the quotation for the next time period, accept the marina's quotation or maybe not.
To create and send a quotation document to the customer, follow this Step-by-step guide:
- Choose from the list a contract for which you want to make a quotation (or find it by searching or by applying a filter).
- Click the button Action to open a menu
- Choose the 'Create quote for contract extension' option from the menu
- The application will open the quote window with already set criteria (based on the contract we chose)
- Set up the Due date of the quotation – the due date will be offered automatically to the specific date, if you want to change the due date, you have to do it here
- Alternatively, if the quotation is to refer to a common period, such as until the end of the year, one quarter in advance etc., you can choose the option from the list on the right side of the window
- Option: disable an early payment discount – the application will offer you an early payment discount based on the due date. If you want to disable the early payment discount, click Remove.
- Click Next – to enter Preview (you can still return to the previous step from here)
- Confirm the quote after clicking Next once more. After the quote is confirmed it becomes a document and you can print it out, send by email etc.
- Click the 'Done' button to close the quotation window
