What is a recurring invoice / billing?
Recurring billing is a type of billing where a marina can automatically charge a customer for specified services on a prearranged schedule.
This kind of billing is used to charge a customer for specific services on a quarterly or monthly basis when the customer so wishes. The marinacloud application can automatically convert the Recurring document into an invoice on the specified date, or it can be done manually.
The invoice can be automatically sent to the customer by email. This billing system is developed with the goal of handling quarterly and monthly invoicing as easy and quickly as possible.
Types of recurring payments
Fundamentally, there are two very different types of recurring payments. While they might seem to share a lot of characteristics, they are used for different things and in general have a different purpose. That is why we will explain them in two separate pages.
